In the heart of the Australian bush,
Where the air is warm and still,
There flits a fluffy, splendid wren,
With feathers bright and shrill.
Its tail a flash of brilliant blue,
Its wings a shade of green,
Its head a mix of vibrant hues,
A picture, fair and keen.
It dances through the eucalyptus,
With grace and poise so rare,
A symphony of colour,
Flitting here and there.
And as the sun beats down,
The fairy wren takes flight,
Its colours shining brightly,
In the bush’s warm, golden light.
So let us cherish this sweet bird,
With feathers light and bright,
A symbol of the beauty,
